Ukulele
At the Willow School of Music, we approach the ukulele as an instrument to develop complete musicianship: including playing melodies,
learning solo styles of playing, and reading standard notation (we use a slow, carefully scaffolded approach that allows you to learn to read music at your own pace.) This is all in addition to the usual singing-and-strumming!

Play Christmas Songs
Wednesdays, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Each session will focus on ONE song, taking a "layered approach" to learning it. First, we'll learn the melody, chords, lyrics and suitable strumming patterns. THEN we explore suitable solo ukulele techniques for it (including finger-picking styles, chord solos, pick-and-fill styles). The goal? Do more with each sing than just the usual sing-and-strum approach.
